🚨Ever notice how many systems reward obedience more than competence?

Check the box.
Follow the script.
Repeat the slogan.
Chase the metric.
Then the metric changes.
Sound familiar?
Most people have encountered some version of this pattern in their lives. It shows up in business, education, government, social media, and countless organizations that begin with good intentions.
The problem starts when the measurement becomes more important than the mission.
Metrics can be useful. Goals matter. Accountability matters.
But when success is defined solely by a scorecard, people often stop asking the most important question:
“Am I creating value?”
Instead, they begin asking:
“Am I checking the right boxes?”
The result is more activity, more reporting, more compliance, and more competition for recognition.
Yet often, not more progress.
This idea inspired part of my song **Incite Social Evolution**.
The song explores a simple but powerful reality: many people spend years pursuing goals they never consciously chose. They inherit expectations from employers, industries, institutions, culture, and advertising. Over time, they become highly skilled at winning games that may have little connection to their deepest values.
The answer is not blind rebellion.
The answer is conscious creation.
Find your passion.
Plan your action.
Pursue what's right for you.
Most of us will never redesign entire industries.
But we can build something different.
A different business.
A different conversation.
A different community.
A different path.
The chorus of *Incite Social Evolution* challenges listeners to think beyond frustration and toward creation:
“If you want to change the world, incite social evolution.”
Meaningful change rarely comes from waiting for permission.
It begins when people start building alternatives that better reflect their values, vision, and purpose.
And when enough people do that, social evolution stops being a slogan.
It becomes reality.
